"Enjoying the mining works on the Iron Range is not possible from ground level. While the Hull-Rust Mine observation area is impressive, nothing beats an aerial view. I contacted Taconite Aviation and easily arranged an aerial tour of the iron range. It was spectacular. Pilot Gary Ulman knew all of the history of the different mines and fully explained the operations, past and present. We got the full and complete view of the Iron Range from a professionally flown flight. As an added bonus the fall colors were spectacular."
